Original Hudoq Dayak mask from Indonesia. These traditional masks were painted in striking red, black and white pigments representing crop destroying pests and are used during the village thanksgiving festival each year. The dance ends with humans chasing away the bad masked pests to protect the fields and rice paddies while praying for an abundant harvest. Signs of age and use with winged sides and wire on back ready to hang in your display collection.
