Vintage Design

A vintage industrial Japanese brass and stainless steel searchlight converted into a large floor lamp with a cast aluminium stanchion post. The search light head is directional making this suitable for uplighting or downlighting. Professionally restored by Loomlight in the UK ready for use in modern interiors.

A substantial floor standing light with a rocker switch for lamp control which has been installed on the bronze cable entry enclosure mounted on the funnel of the lamp.

These Japanese searchlights have been reclaimed from decommissioned ships built during the 1970s.

The main dome is made from machined stainless steel, the funnel of the lamp cast brass and a tempered glass front to form an enclosure for the bulb.

We have mounted onto the stanchion post using highly polished M16 bolts sets capped with dome nuts, the braided cable is fed to the ground inside the post and then trails on the floor to a wall plug.
