This adorable German figural pendant lamp from the circa 1950s features a hand-carved figure of a smiling mountain climber. The detailed carved linden wood mountaineer is holding onto a rope and holding an ornate metal and clear glass lantern in one hand. A beautiful oakwood canopy. The height of the pendant lamp is circa 71 cm / 27.95 in. The wooden figure is circa 25 cm / 9.84 in wide and circa 15 cm / 5.9 in deep. The carved wooden figure looks extremely lifelike and inspires with its attention to detail. The extraordinary ceiling lamp moves everyone to imagine the beautiful Alps, Bavaria, and mountains, it will be a real eye-catcher in your interior. An excellent gift for a mountain enthusiast. One socket for an E14-size light bulb. In good condition with slight signs of aging and use.
