Vintage Conical Lamp Shades in Rattan and Wicker, 1960s, Set of 2

A jewel of craftsmanship made in Italy between the 60s and 70s by hand-weaving natural fibers such as rattan and wicker on a solid conical structure made of bamboo and reeds. We purchased these lampshades inside a seaside home located in Ostia, on the Lazio coast together with other splendid pieces of bamboo furniture from the same era, we subjected them to a deep cleaning and polished them with a specific product to preserve and soften the natural fibers. These lampshades had never been used, our customer had purchased them from a craftsman without the internal metal structure in doubt whether to use them as chandeliers or lampshades; we had the internal metal structure made by one of our trusted craftsmen and now they are ready to be mounted on a pair of twin bedside lamps or on the sides of a credenzas or a sideboard. The measurements of these vintage lampshades are these: Upper diameter 19.5cm Lower diameter 30.5 Height 28cm The measurements of the metal structure are: external diameter of the bulb holder 6cm internal diameter of the bulb holder 5cm h 23.5cm The lampshades are in good vintage condition, the decoration and fan at the base that appears like an embroidery is intact and the dense rattan weaving, where it is possible to see in some points the small knots that constitute it, without any type of breakage.
