Vintage Design

Helmantier secretary in solid mahogany and mahogany veneer stamped Louis Noël Malle and carrying the brand of Jurande JME.
On a belt, this piece of furniture has a narrow drawer with a central part of a component and a beautiful Louis XVI entrance in bronze, accompanied by its key. Below, we find a slaughter simulating in the facade 3 identical drawers. Like all the façades of drawers from this secretary, their edge is to cut the tab. Below, the piece of furniture is provided with a new drawer and finally a last, very lodge, whose facade simulates two. All locks are original and in working order, the inputs are chiselled and the posterior keys are adjusted.
This weekly is provided with cut amounts composed of three arrested grooves. The lower in relief highlights highlight.
The sides of this piece of furniture present in the upper part a small panel placed horizontally then two vertical panels. They are separated by crosspieces.
The offspring of the weekly is maintained using original iron and brass hooks. The interior part corresponds to the manufacturing of the Louis XVI period. It is made up of two drawers giving the impression of four thanks to chopsticks. These drawers have "lens" buttons. As well as an interior storage space.
The slaughter has a mahogany cutting frame, surrounding a soft green leather with a cold vignette, golden thumbnail and a refined pattern in the center.
Finally, this furniture by Louis Noël Malle is topped with a holy Belgian gray marble, of origin.
The funds, the sides and the rear drawers and the structure of this piece of furniture are in oak. It also has losses.

Louis Noël Malle

Notable cabinetmaker, born in 1733, died in Paris on February 27, 1782. After having registered his mastery letters on November 18, 1765, he settled Grande rue du Faubourg Saint-Antoine, where his establishment included a very active workshop and a cabinet store run by his wife. The national furniture retains a dresser with him with drapery and vases.

The jurande of cabinetmaker carpenters (JME) is a community of craftsmen responsible for controlling the work of Parisian craftsmen of this corporation. It will be effective during the second half of the 18th century (from 1751 to 1789). She was also responsible for chasing workers and workshops working outside the corporation.
Once the work of the craftsman or the cabinetmaker was validated, the jurors affixed their punch (JME)
