About This Piece

Beautiful set of four small antique engravings with gilded wood frame, early 18th century. Both engraved by Richard Earlom (14 May 1743, London – 9 October 1822, London) was an English engraver and painter. The engravings are characterized by different landscapes taken from works by the painter Claude Lorrain (Chamagne, December 16, 1600 - Rome, November 23, 1682), a French painter, active mainly in Rome and considered the master of the genre of the ideal landscape.
