Vintage Design

The work of Ecuadorian furniture maker Angel Pazmiño has been internationally recognised since the 1960s, when he was part of an initiative by the US Agency for International Development to create modern furniture from sustainable local materials. This extremely rare Mid-Century Modern coffee table designed by Angel I. Pazmino in the 1960’s for Muebles de Estilo of Ecuador, is executed in wood and thick mid tone tan brown saddle leather embossed with Inca patterns and designs. This piece comes in good condition having only been re-polished with Renaissance wax from the British Museum on the leather embossed top. The legs which unscrew for ease of shipping and or storage have been given a revive with two coats of danish oil. Weight of table 9.3kg. Thickness of table top 4.5cm.
