Vintage Design

A Danish mid century shelving system in the style of iconic 1960s designs of Preben Sorensen and Poul Cadovius. with its compact size and wall-mounted design, it takes up minimal space. Made from teak wood and teak veneer—materials known for their warm color, durability, and longevity—it is crafted to last for decades. Additionally, this shelving system is fully modular, offering various configuration options to suit your needs. The assembly system is simple and intuitive, with shelves mounted on solid wood rails using brass hangers, or, for a cabinet, on metal pins.
The set includes:
a cabinet: H: 38 / W: 75 / D: 30 cm
2 shelves: W: 75 / D: 24 cm
1 shelf: W: 75 / D: 35 cm
2 teak montage rails, each 172 cm long
The wall unit has been upcycled through a thorough renovation, combining old and new parts to revive the shelving system (for this wall unit, most components date back to 1960s). All the wood has been sanded down, coated with stain applied for a uniform look, and finished with layers of Danish oil. If necessary, damaged veneer is replaced to enhance the appearance. We use solid teak pegs to fill in old holes, but also as a decorative element. The hardware has been polished.
