Three-tiered piece of furniture standing on short pointed legs with a cleanly continuous cherry wood grain pattern.

The design of the protruding middle section, as well as the original fire-gilded fittings, clearly dates from the classicist period. The risalike pilaster strips, the corresponding vertical moldings at the back of the sides and the fillet strips running along the edge of the panel still speak the language of the late 18th century.
The omission of further geometric divisions and the arrangement of the grain are in keeping with the taste of the Biedermeier period.

A particular highlight of the chest of drawers is the box lock in the middle drawer, which locks all three drawers. Equipped with two bolts, the lock closes alternately upwards and downwards each time the key is turned, so that all drawers are locked after six turns. An impressive piece of ironwork!

Condition: Restored condition with preserved patina. The drawers run cleanly and smoothly, the lock works perfectly.
