Large sculpture in bronze with brown patina and golden reflections, signed on the terrace: L. Riché.
Renowned animal sculptor, Louis Riché (1877-1949) will mark his time by the precision of his work and his passion for felines. This talented artist creates here a captivating work.
Two lions are standing against each other, their powerful bodies at rest. Lying down, one lioness rubs her head, showing her affection. The second, seated, seems to roar. Ears lowered, she frowns and reveals her carnivorous teeth.
Meticulously detailed, this scene, which one imagines to be located in the African savannah, bears witness to the artist's love for these charismatic animals.
