The inks used are also known for their longevity Signed + numbered by artist with certificate of authenticity , unframed Edition : 1/5 Archival pigment print sizes : 35 x 53 cm / 13,78 x 20,87 in. - Edition of 5 50 x 75 cm / 19,68 x 29,53 in. - Edition of 5 70 x 105 cm / 27,56 x 41,34 in. - Edition of 5 Ian Sanderson (born 1951 Scotland, died 2020 Spain) was a Scottish photographer. He produced images over a 35 year career, and in recent years used archival techniques to produce his prints. For most of his career he worked as both a Commercial and Fine Art photographer, and during his last years concentrated on his personal imagery. Towards the end of his life journey, Ian was reviving two 19th century printing techniques, Platinum Palladium and Gum Bichromate ( one-of-a-kind pieces). This culminated in a large retrospective exhibition in Barcelona which was sponsored by the 'Nando and Elsa Peretti Foundation’. The Platinum and Palladium prints are particularly interesting as he printed them onto ‘vellum’, and bonded pure gold or silver to the back of the prints ( every print is therefore a unique and timeless piece of art). Ian created rare and customized pieces, and each piece was totally original and a “one-off”. Ian Sanderson was one of only a handful of artists worldwide producing this type of work.
