Gathering heat by Christian and Jade Gathering heat Year: 2019 Material: Smoked glass, steel, Lavastone, bioethanol system Size: H 62, L 100, W 70 cm Smoke cloud chandelier is an oil lamp that floats mid space, cap- Turing the trace of fire from a time where it was a source of light in the home. Made out of aluminum sheets the smoke cloud chandelier have been hammer formed to provide a vessel for its lamp oil. Through the reflection of the flame, the aluminum comes to life, radiating its light back into the space. The smoke cloud chandelier is an ode to the fire and the lively conversations that grew around it.
