Vintage Design

Excellent pair of candlesticks made of gilded bronze, manufactured in the period of French Empire around 1815: standing on large, slightly arched round base with classicist foliate frieze, conical candelabrum shaft with unusual surrounding relief decoration with flowers or daisies. On it vase-shaped candle spout, drip plate with finely fluted rim. Very fine chasing and gilding. Condition: very good, min. signs of age and use, min. abrasion.
