Polychrome earthenware vase from the Henriot house. Quimper earthenware has made the capital of Cornwall famous throughout the world. But behind this prestigious showcase of Breton art, there are several creators and artists who have brought their know-how and creativity to these ceramic creations. Paul Fouillen (1899-1958) was one of them.
This vase with a degraded shades of brown and orange is a unique work. It has large handles worked in matter and reasons recalling Celtic art.
He has the artist's signature on the paunch and below.
