Dutch silver birth spoon with Frisian horse, 1959 A Dutch silver birth spoon with a Frisian horse at the top of the handle. At the base of the spoon there is a griffin at the bottom of the twisted handle and at the top of both sides with a decoration of dolphins. The spoon is made in such a way that it looks like an antique spoon. These spoons are popular in the Netherlands and are copied from very old ones. This spoon, you can give as a gift on the occasion of a birth. The spoon can still be engraved. The hall marks of the Dutch silver is at the back right of the spoon and has the hall mark of the letter Z for 1959. The Dutch "Lion II" for Dutch silver (hall mark) has the silver purity of 835/000 (also marked with the "Sword") The Minerva head with letter A for the office (assayer's mark) Amsterdam. The length of the spoon is 18 cm, the width is 4.5 cm and height is 1.5 cm. The weight is 62 grams.
