About This Piece

Vintage Design

This industrial lamp is a part of a long and unique tradition. It was produced by Pokrok company in Czechoslovakia. Its design is quite simple, yet very important. The lamp was one of the first models which used bended black metal wire as a construction material. The shade of the lamp has a wire which grips around the bulb and holds position. All very simple and innovative considering the age. The shield is made of formica cone which is decorated by a beige string. The lamp can be a table light, or a wall light. Fully functional, works on one bulb, European plug.
