Vintage Design

Splendid ceramic sculpture representing the bust of a woman next to an equilateral pyramid of majestic precision. Being a free-standing and round sculpture, it can be contemplated from different points of view, thus giving an infinite beauty to the viewer since each side of the sculpture is different, thus completely fleeing from symmetry. Added to this characteristic is the artist's astonishing use of color, as black and white combine powerfully with the crimson red color. This enameling process is accomplished by firing in kilns the different metals that make up the color, such as lead or tin, in addition to the pigments. The result is a highly aesthetic piece, which follows the polygonal forms of art deco, but with a more avant-garde and personal vision.

The sculpture is signed and dated 1984. It is an author's ceramic or artistic ceramic, created for aesthetic and decorative purposes, and never mass-produced, they are unique pieces. from Modernism to the contemporary, we have witnessed the transgression and breaking of many limits, also as far as ceramics is concerned, since it is stripped of any utilitarian functionality, being simply a piece to admire and perceive.

It is in very good condition for its age and use.
