Daum Nancy Stalky Rarest Vase with Flowers MANUFACTORY: DAUM FRÈRES made in France / Nancy, Lorraine, circa 1895-1900. DESIGNER: DAUM FRÈRES (Auguste and Antonin Daum) TECHNIQUE OF MANUFACTURE: CAMEO GLASS & ETCHED (built up with different colored layers and cut back with acid to reveal beautiful designs) SPECIFICATIONS: DAUM NANCY VASE OF EXTREME RARENESS (= ALMOST UNIQUE !) / stunningly manufactured cameo (casing) glass: Creamy (bright yellow) shaded glass, overlaid in tones of orange red and dark green. Decorated with stunning floral ornaments partially covering surface: These consist of flowers with leaves growing out of the bellied part at vase's area below / the vase has a long narrow, slightly tapering stalk (ornamented in etching technique, too, contrasting the martelé and fire-polished background at top / the vase has martelé decorations, too, at area below). HALLMARKED: The reverse side of vase's round foot is plane - there is ENGRAVED DAUM NANCY SIGNATURE OF CIRCA 1895-1900 WITH CROSS OF LORRAINE visible.
