This is an antique carved tiger. An Asian, solid teak decorative statue, dating to the early 20th century, circa 1920.

A prowling, handcrafted Panthera tigris
Displays a desirable aged patina
Skilfully carved solid teak captures the powerful haunches with deep russet hues

The eyes realised in amber-coloured glass
Decorative markings adorn the lithe form
Predatory fangs add contrast
