We are delighted to offer for sale this absolutely stunning pair of original, hand carved in solid walnut, Italian high back throne chairs . These are pure art furniture from every angle, the old upholstery had perished and has been removed, they have been upholstered with calico which can be used as it is or as a lining for a fabric of your choosing. The carvings are exquisite, you have what looks like griffins or dragons, a mans head, pillared columns and so on, there chairs really are a tour de force of style and design. The timber has been deep cleaned, hand condition waxed and hand polished, it has a good rich glow to it, the upholstery is basically new. Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of creasing and wear, we recommend annual waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade
