Vintage Design

- Origin: probably China or France
- Pair of bottle-shaped lamps in black cloisonné enamel
- Mounted with chiseled and gilt bronze mounts with a quadripod base
- Base adorned with openwork and chiseled decor of scrolls and cartouches
- Molded higher part of the mount
- Body of the lamp with a bulged belly
- A tightened neck in cloisonné enamel with a black background
- Gilt geometrical partitions and foliaged flowers with polychrome enamels
- Body also decorated with a middle frieze just above the bulged part
- Foliage and small clouds motifs on a blue background with Asian signs
- A frieze of stylized white ruyi clouds adorn the higher part of the neck
- Work realized circa 1880
