20th Century Louis XVI Mahogany Armchairs, Set of 4

About This Piece

Vintage Design

Suite of four solid mahogany and cane armchairs with curved shepherdess backs. The armrests have a molded surround with a link of pearls found on the heads and front. This beaded garland ends with an acanthus leaf on each side. The cane seat is filled with a fabric cushion with stylized floral motifs. The massive movement belt surmounts the upper part of the fluted legs turned into a spindle. Each seat is square and stable.
Solid and enveloping, these large Louis XVI style armchairs with recessed armrests will find their place at the end of a table, in the living room or to accompany a desk.
