Magnificent pair of aquarium with chinese porcelain fish, fine decorations in enamel partitioned with animated scenes of characters, flowers, trendy birds, butterflies on a white background outside and decorated with five fish among aquatic plants inside.

According to sources, the beginnings of the ornamental aquarophilia, involving the selection of species, go up 905 AD. J.C. or in the 12th century.

Likewise, the date of creation of the "bowl" or aquarium with fish is subject to several dates. For some, it would be in 1369 with the launch of a porcelain factory which produced large containers to accommodate red fish by the Chinese emperor Hongwu.

According to other sources, the Chinese "vase" or aquarium was invented by the Ming dynasty in 1547.
A first red fish farming treaty dates from 1596.
